Introduction
The Department of Social Welfare at Handong Global University's General Graduate School aims to foster social welfare professionals who research and practice how to solve the problems faced by our neighbors in Christianity as a way to respond to the limitations of the Korean social welfare system and arising crises. By teaching and researching professional management techniques and practices required in the field of social welfare, we aim to produce talented professionals who will lead the field of social welfare.

In particular, we focus on training mental health social welfare professionals, child and youth welfare professionals, and social welfare professionals preparing for reunification as practical social welfare, and cultivate social welfare professionals who combine theory and practice.

We provide an environment that facilitates field training and practice, and we conduct local and national level investigative research projects to solve social problems such as mental health, children, adolescents, and the elderly.

With a curriculum enhanced by hands-on experience in various fields and project-oriented thesis research classes, we aim to train students with integrated competencies in practice and research.
