Handong Global University (President Dosoung Choi) held a winter employment camp at The K Hotel in Gyeongju from the 11th (Thursday) to the 12th (Friday) for students participating in the National Employment Support Program.
Operated by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the National Employment Support Program provides various supports to help students enhance their employability by gaining work experience in various fields before entering the workforce, through job education and experience to improve their adaptability to workplaces.
Students participating in this winter employment camp had previously selected their desired job positions and companies and submitted self-introduction letters applying to those companies. Education instructors analyzed these self-introduction letters beforehand and provided individual corrections during the camp, along with mock interviews to prepare students for real interviews. Furthermore, through seminars analyzing industry trends, students were provided with detailed information and know-how on job preparation methods.
A participating student expressed, "This is a beneficial program that any student who has ever thought about getting a job should definitely participate in."
Handong Global University's Career Development Center plans to hold summer and winter employment camps every year to assist graduating students in their job preparations.
