President Kumseop Jin of the US Sponsorship Association of HGU delivered 10,000 US dollars for the development of Handong Global University. The funds were received by President Soon-Heung Chang of HGU while he visited the U.S. in January.
President Soon-Heung Chang of HGU, who met members of the US Sponsorship Association of HGU, took time to explain the current status of Handong Global University, the major agenda items, and the current goals of HGU.

According to President Chang, "Handong Global University grew as a global university to nurture talents for God thanks to the support and prayers of the US Sponsorship Association of HGU. I look forward on-going support and assistance from the US Association in order to nurture genuine leaders who will resolve issues for neighbors and the world."
President Jin said, "For 19 years, we have been supporting HGU. It is God's university to nurture Korean leaders and talents. I look forward to the role our US Association will play for HGU to jump start progress toward reaching HGU’s goals and agendas. We will continue to work with the Alumni Association and the alumni of HGU."
