January 20, Gyeongsang Province Educational Donation Center of Handong Global University Hosted a Networking Day with twenty staff members of educational donations in the Exco, Hotel Inter-Burgo, of Daegu.
The event aimed to promote the revitalization of educational donations through strengthened networks between educational donation institutions and the staff of Gyeongsang Province. Welcome remarks, congratulatory remarks, introduction of the Center, measures to shared values, and exemplary cases were presented.
The Head of the Center, Sukhee Jung, said, “It was amazing to look back at the education donation activities in Gyeongsang Province during the last year. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the staff of the educational donation program for all of their efforts.”
The leader, Sungwook Park, of the Private Educational Donation Group mentioned, “Warm remarks by teachers can change their students. Therefore, related staff of educational donation who are here today are very valuable and can have a great impact on young lives. I hope that various educational donation activities will be created this year, too.”
In this event, active educational donation institutes and private educational donors received plaques of appreciation. The educational donation institutes awarded plaques were: Korea Radioactive Waste Agency and HisBeans. Private educational donors, Sukhoo Chu, Yeopja Yoon, and Inyoung Lee each received a plaque of appreciation.
The Gyeongsang Province Educational Donation Center of Handong Global University was selected as the ‘Regional Center of Educational Donations in Gyeongsang Province’ hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity in 2014. The Center supports youth who can benefit by developing customized educational programs through regional educational organizations, groups and private donors.
