President Charles Pollard of John Brown University and President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University (on the right)
The 18th of January, President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University visited John Brown University, JBU, in order to discuss educational programs and ways to increase student exchanges and research, for two days.
President Chang had a meeting with the leadership of the school including President Charles Pollard and Vice President Steve Beers. In the meeting they discussed ways to expand students and professor exchanges and how to implement joint projects including the International Capstone Project.
In particular, President Chang spoke during chapel at JBU. His message was titled ‘The 500th Anniversary of the Reformation and the New Mission Direction that Christianity Should Pursue’.
President Chang unveiled that “Both HUG and JBU have common ground; to nurture talents secured with Christian faith and excellent professionalism. I look forward to both schools taking the lead to nurture the next Christian leaders who will change the world. Also, I hope that we can further boost our close cooperation through exchange programs.”

John Brown University, located in Arkansas, in the US has 2,800 enrolled students and was established in 1919 as a Christian university. The school is known as a prestigious university. JBU was selected as the best university in the southern part of the US by U.S. News & World Report. JBU has more than fifty majors including Business Administration, Graphic Design, and Engineering. Handong Global University signed an agreement with John Brown University last February and expanding the exchange relationship.
