On Jan. 20, 2017, Handong Global University hosted the Actualization of Character Education (ACE) Project Result Dissemination Forum under the theme of ‘To Find Answers in Human Character’.
The event was prepared to share the achievements of human character programs of Handong Global University. The wisdom from these achievements will be used to operate future projects through active discussions and opinions.
In this forum, lectures on ACE Human Character Education, the community life of Handong Global University, the learning quality management system, satisfaction and its efficacy in community life were delivered.
According to President Soon-Heung Chang of HGU, “This forum shows how the dissemination of educational culture waters the root of human character education. We can revitalize ACE universities. I hope that this event will provide a venue to share the achievements of the ACE project, the active discussion of opinions, and contribute to nurture creative and converged talents who can bring innovative and creative values to others.”
The ACE project is one of the university nurturing projects hosted by the Ministry of Education. This project aims to support leading universities that create advanced models for undergraduate schools. These universities bring comprehensive advancement of curriculum courses and educational supportive systems.
Handong Global University was designated as an ACE Project Recipient for four consecutive years from 2010 to 2013 and now again in 2015, HGU was selected as the ACE Project Supportive University again. This provided 4.6 billion won (about $4.6 million US) for four years.
