On November 14, the agreement ceremony was held for research cooperation, for nurturing local industries, for small but strong business, and for nurturing excellent talents between Handong Global University and Pohang Techno Park. Fifteen people participated including President Soon-Heung Chang and President Kee-hong Kim.
Both institutions mutually agreed to implement local joint research, to utilize research facilities and equipment, to exchange talents, to develop exchange programs, to cooperate in business internships, and to establish the necessary infrastructure for the technology business.
According to Soon-Heung Chang, “I sincerely hope that mutual cooperation in intellectualization, communization, super connection and convergence, and greening fields will be the new growth engine celebrating the 4th level of industrialization. I look forward to discovering what we can contribute to nurture local industry, small but strong business, and excellent talents through mutual cooperation.”
President Kee-hong Kim said, “I have great expectations to nurture small but strong businesses and to develop local industries through this agreement. We will bring tangible results through development of effective programs and promotions.”
Handong Global University agreed to cooperate with the Policy Research Institute of Pohang Techno Park for local development. Both institutions mutually decided to contribute the establishment of technology businesses, to the necessary infrastructure and to the revitalization of investments in local businesses. Furthermore, they agreed to do their best to create a new industry ecosystem within the local area through smart media content production.
