-An Uzbeki student in the MBA course at the Scientific and Educational Center for Corporate Governance visited Korea through the invitation of Handong Global University
-Business management visits were made on-site fields and to guide the students in paper writing
As part of the UNESCO UNITWIN project, Handong Global University has promoted joint educational courses for the market economy from November 15 to 21, 2016. The President, Vice President, and MBA course students of the Scientific and Educational Center for Corporate Governance were invited to attend the programs.
The Scientific and Educational Center for Corporate Governance or CGC is a graduate school course under the Minister of Economics of Uzbekistan. After the transition to the market economy from socialism in 1991, mid-level managers of national enterprises have been learning business management under the new market economy.

Handong Global University donated books to the Scientific and Educational Center for Corporate Governance (2016.11.17.)
The joint Educational Course between Handong Global University and CGC provides a way to reflect the current situation of Uzbekistan. This course fulfills the need for human resource nurturing and efficiency of management research to deal with privatization of public enterprises, adaptation to a market economy and international competition under the former socialistic region.
The course aims to share Korea’s economic development experience, management know-how in order to nurture economic experts and businessmen who will play crucial roles in economic development. This will promote sustainable education through capacity building of Uzbekistan’s professors for the mid and long term phases of growth.
In Global Business Expeditions in Korea, or G-Bex Korea, major organizations and representative businesses such as the Bank of Korea, the Korea Exchange, Samsung Electronics, POSCO, and SK Energy played important roles in Korea’s economic development. The Professors of Handong Global University guided the students as they wrote their masters theses.
November 17, President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University and President Borikhon Ganikhodjaev of CGC discussed future cooperative measures. President Soon-Heung Chang of Handong Global University said, “I hope that mid-level managers who are enrolled in the MBA course will broaden their eyes and strengthen their capacity. This will allow them to contribute to a successful market economy and to national economic development.”

Handong Global University donated 129 books to CGC. Included in the donations were ninety-six volumes collected by professors of Handong Global University. The remaining thirty-three volumes were newly purchased. These book donations are expected to contribute to the enhance exchange between the two universities.
The next CGC joint education course will be held from January 30 to February 3, 2017, at CGC, Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
