Handong Global University signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Academic-Industry Cooperation at a small meeting room of Handong Global University with Vadas Company on October 5, 2016. With this agreement, both institutions will operate an academic-industry program track to develop artificial intelligence and smart-cars to, nurture human resources, and to develop joint technology.
Handong Global University newly opened and operates the Academic-industry Cooperation Scholarship Track for Vadas with the Undergraduate School and the Graduate School of Computing and Electronical Engineering of Handong Global University.
Vadas selects and provides scholarships for operating this track. Vada funds the project Capstone Design in the Smart Car sector, and research funds.
Vadas is a Smart Car company headquartered in Pohang. Graduates of Handong are playing core roles in the software sector. The company secures Vision-based ADAS technology and 3D Around View technology. This technology is reported to be the best in the world.
Both institutions established cooperative relations through the graduates of Handong Global University who entered work at Vadas company. These graduates implemented the Capstone Project and advised the students about technology.
