Handong Global University, established in 1995 with the Christian spirt of love, modesty, and service , hosted ‘A Workshop on Future Career Searching and Job Employment Revitalization’ in order to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the School of Life Science of Handong Global University. Graduates from various sectors of our society were invited.

The School nurtured 900 graduates. 6 100 graduates have doctoral degrees in Korea and abroad. 300 graduates are studying at Medical Schools, and serving as doctors, pharmacists, and dentists.100 graduates are working as managers of life science and food companies. 100 graduates are working as patent attorneys and venture businessmen.

From October 14 to 15 the workshop was held at Hyoam with graduates who are playing an active role in various fields in Korea and abroad. Representatives of the alumni explained the current status of social activities to their juniors. The juniors asked questions about their fields.

Hee-hoon Kim, a fourth year student said, “Through in-depth talks between alumni who are working in various fields and enrolled students, I had a chance to think about my future direction.”

Alumni Gyeongil Lee, the first batch of graduates of the School said, “In commemoration of the 20^th anniversary of the School, we established a network, shared information and encouraged cooperation. This venue was excellent for providing help to the current students.”

The Dean of the School of Life Science, Prof. Hyunggi Doh, mentioned, “This is the first event hosted on the School level. This gathering served as an opportunity to look back at our School’s contribution to the local community and industry, and to think about the future. I know this event was a good venue for students to assist them in choosing the choose right career path through networking with the graduates.”
