Before the competition, five ventures, consisting of university students, received practical mentoring for entering the Chinese market. Local experts spent three weeks assisting in the preparation of customized business models.

The topic for this completion was, ‘Why Racing?’ Racing and start-ups have lots of connecting links. They compete in order to be the best. Racers receive support from sponsors. Those starting a business require investments get started. Both racers and start-ups must go global without any delay or rest to achieve their goals.

In the competition, the ’Riiid’ team received the first prize with their suggestion to provide artificial intelligence customized language learning services.

The final prize winners were selected through “elevator speeches” lasting 30 seconds. They gave a sales pitch for two minutes and thirty seconds. At the end they had a question and answer session for ten minutes. The first prize went to the ’Riiid’ team who suggested an artificial intelligence customized language learning service. The second place prize went to ‘Free Stage.’ This group provided VR based karaoke service. The third place prize was given to Data King for their big data 3D MAP technology platform.
