Last November, participants of a joint education training program from Handong Global University and Myanmar participated in a lecture.
Handong Global University hosted a joint educational program for university students and professors of Myanmar by collaborating with Yangong Technological University and the University of Computer Studies.
August 8 to 13, 2016, the project leaders included: Professor Sangmo Jung of the School of Spacial Environmental System Engineering; Professor Hoyoung Kang of Texas A&M; Director Ducksu Seo of Cambodia NIBC. CEO Dr. Sungryel Kim (Esco Consultant) visited Yangon, Myanmar, and scheduled a short term seminar with other universities to hold consultations.
Revitalization of joint education courses through project consultations with the President of the University of Computer Studies, Yangon, Mie Mie Thet Thwin were discussed on August 9. Joint cooperation measures were discussed with forty graduate school students of the University of Computer Studies, Yangon. Visiting construction enterprises in Myanmar and meeting with engineers who graduated from Thailand AIT university occurred on August 12. Introductions to Innovative Construction Technologies were given to 100 engineers on August 13.
The joint education training program develops and promotes joint educational courses on construction and IT convergence. The goal is to develop a U-Eco city that meets the current situation of Myanmar by working with Yangong Technological University and the University of Computer Studies, Yangon as part of UNESCO UNITWIN. HGU has been a host university of sustainable capacity building from 2007.
