‘Come with me!’ After finishing G-IMPACT experiences, participants took a commemorative photo.
Handong Global University had 777 Korean high school students joined 2016 G-IMPACT Experience. It was held from August 1 to 6, 2016.
G-IMPACT Experience was promoted starting in 2010 to strength the high school-university link and to enhance accessibility of further education. This is one of the representative experience programs to high school students that has been held for seven consecutive years. During the experience period, participants have an opportunity to discuss their university entrance and to experience the future university life through special lectures by major professors, experiencing various majors, and by community-building activities.
The theme of the event is ‘Come with me!’ This is borrowed from the Song of Solomon chapter 2 verse 10. The slogan is used to encourage participants to run toward their vision and dream. All the participating students had a venue to take a rest. The event was especially prepared for those who are tired of studying for the entrance exam and College Scholastic Ability Test.

According to Inwhan Kang, one of the program participants, “I was impressed when I heard the slogan ‘to change the world’ and saw brothers and sisters studying very hard to achieve their dreams. The event was very helpful by experiencing various activities on a campus. I had a great chance to set a new future direction.”
The event was hosted by the Team of Admission Officers but all the students of Handong planned and operated all the programs. The staff of G-IMPACT was recruited during the spring semester of 2016. Starting mid semester, they had meetings. They planned and prepared the schedule during the month of joint activity. 49 group assistants guided the participants. 15 safety guides prepared the event. They introduced Handong Global University to the students, shared love, and provided dreams and visions.

Haejin Cho participated as an assistant mentioned, “I joined to share my love that I received from seniors when I participated in this event last year as a high school student. I hope that the name of Handong Global University spread to all the participating students through this event.”
Issac Park, the main leader of the G-IMPACT said, “Assistants from HGU prepared many ways to support high school students. This led to high school students understanding Handong and finding their vision and future career. I hope that all the participants had a great and enjoyable time of encouragement at, ‘Come with me!’.
