July 12, LINC of Handong Global University, concluded an agreement for Academic and Industry Cooperation and mutual exchange with Pohang Council for Social Enterprise at Handong Global University.
The Pohang Council for Social Enterprise is comprised of twenty social enterprises based in Pohang. The Council drew interest and support from the local province, enterprises, and the social community on social enterprises. This aided social cohesion, and assisted in pursuing a balanced development of the local economy. It also provided various social volunteer activities.
LINC of Handong Global University offered various projects for local enterprise development, as the hub university for academic and industry cooperation, to the members of the Pohang Council for Social Enterprise.
Both organizations mutually agreed to promote: ▲joint projects for local job creation through social enterprise revitalization, ▲technology cooperation and joint utilization of the educational infrastructure in order to nurture excellent talents, ▲joint usage of common devices, and ▲cooperation in technology dissemination and transfer activation projects.
According to Ki-seuk Kim, “LINC is a project not only for Handong Global University but also for all of the people in Pohang and SMEs. Based on the Internet of Things technology at HGU, we continue to contribute to developing the creative economy of Pohang by providing the required resources for business.”
President Ilju Seo said, “Social enterprise shares the values and countermeasures to address various social problems by promoting the core role in social economy. For sustainable development, we will do our best to revitalize the social economy by developing and nurturing specialized local projects for sustainable development.
After the agreement ceremony, LINC shared various difficulties of the member companies and selected major projects to encourage design development, marketing strategies, and entrepreneurship. Various projects will be implemented starting from support in the prioritized fields.
LINC of HGU has been promoting education with IoT technology, 3D printing required for business and various supportive projects that reflect required fields of the companies.
