On June 23, LINC of HGU signed a Memorandum of Agreement on Academic-Industry Cooperation for Nurturing Cloud Experts with GS Neotech headquarters. 

Both institutions promised to promote academic-industry cooperation to nurture cloud experts and nurture talents in IoT and ICT. Nurturing start-ups was also kept in mind. In addition, both organizations agreed to work together for human exchanges, technology extensions and technology transfer activations.  

LINC of HGU will support recruitment, management, future guidance, long and short term on-site practice management, Academic-Industry Capstone Management, operation of academic-industry cooperation. There will also be workshops and courses in operation. 

GS Neotech will serve as the advisor for developing and organizing the educational curriculum. This will nurture cloud experts and provide short and long term on-site practice opportunities. Lectures on “cloud” with the capstone project will support this venture. 

With this agreement, both institutions will seek close cooperation to revitalize the creative economy and industrial development. The strength of this agreement is based on the strong points found with customized cloud expertise courses between the University and industry. 

According to Ki-seok Kim, “With this agreement, HGU is expected to nurture cloud experts who are fit and able to use IoT since this is the new ICT trend  that are required in industry. “
