June 20, an agreement on educational donations was concluded with representative Sukhee Jung, Head of the Educational Donation Center of Gyeongsang Province, HGU and Nanhee Kim, the Head of the Daegu Center of Korea on Gambling Problems, and related staff.
On June 20, the Foundation for Academic-Industry Cooperation of HGU signed an agreement on revitalization of educational donations and educational cooperation with Daegu Center of Korea on Gambling Problems.
According to this agreement, both institutions agreed to establish and share their infrastructure as an educational donation. This will provide educational programs, to develop and operate educational donation programs, to match educational donation organizations and to focus on promotion.
According to Sukhee Jung, Head of the Educational Donation Center of Gyeongsang Province, HGU, “I really appreciate gathering to share programs and infrastructure. Their willingness to donate their programs will lay the foundation to resolve local youth gambling problems and to help our youth find their career path.”
Nanhee Kim, Head of the Daegu Center of Korea on Gambling Problems, said, “Our center is planning to promote programs to resolve problems related to academics and young people’s career paths by understanding psychological consultations.”
The Educational Donation Center of Gyeongsang Province was established at the Foundation for Academic-Industry Cooperation of HGU in July 2014. In order to disseminate educational programs that are centered in the capital area, specialized educational resources will be developed to provide benefits to youth. In addition, the project brief briefing session for promoting effective educational donation activities was provided. A networking event was hosted for revitalizing educational donations.
The Daegu Center of Korea on Gambling Problems is operated by the Foundation for Academic-Industry Cooperation of Keimyung University. Counseling for gambling addicts and their families is customized. Preventative education and campaigns for the local society are provided.
