Up to the third competition, the event was held at Handong Global University. The fourth competition was opened to citizens of Pohang as audience evaluators. The event served as a venue to share start-up ideas that might be unfamiliar to ordinary citizens. The ideas were generated by Handong students.
The RPM event opening ceremony began with a performance. There was a final competition of thirteen teams after which the audience voted for the best ideas. After the buffet dinner came commentaries from evaluators and the closing ceremony.

In addition, Gyeongbuk Creative Innovation Center, Pohang Creative Economic Innovation Center, Pohang Chamber of Commerce, and Creative Job Center of Handong Global University assisted in the event.
According to President Soonheung Chang, “As of today, 160 citizens applied to be audience evaluators. I firmly believe that if audiences will encourage the ideas, it will be a great help to the young people. From teenagers to people over fifty, various ages heard valuable opinions and had an opportunity to grow more. HGU will do our best to grow with local society as part of Jangrayngdong project that was suggested early of this year.”
Handong Global University joined the first, second, and third competition with fourteen, eleven, and fourteen teams respectively. 39 teams joined in total for the three competitions in order to share various items and ideas. Among the prize winners, one team used converged technology to monitor rehabilitation information data through electromyogram sensors and an HRS sensor with wearable leg support device technology that can bend knees developed by the Ministry of National Defense. The device provides information on rehabilitation patients doing exercise properly. It is expected to be utilized for self-rehabilitation, for medical diagnosis, and in various digital health care fields. With this technology, the team received the grand prize at the ‘2015 Start-ups Competition by utilizing national technology’.
Among the winners for the 2th competition, the ‘M Plus Cosmetics’ team suggested an item to provide customized skin solutions from diagnosis, to providing countermeasures, and to management depending on the sixteen different skin types. Recently, at ‘Bio Start-ups Idea Competition’ hosted by the Korean Health Industry Development Institute, the team received the participation prize with the item, and they were recognized for customized skin care products.
