Handong Global University signed an Educational Donation Agreement with the Korean Radioactive Waste Agency for educational donations and cooperation. On April 26, 2016 both institutions had an agreement ceremony establishing their cooperative relationship with President Soon-heung Chang of HGU and CEO Jongin Lee of the Korean Radioactive Waste Agency.
Handong Global University is planning to provide programs for elementary, middle and highschool students to experience various occupations clustered in the Gyeongsang Province Area.
The Korean Radioactive Waste Agency is also considering ‘Career· Occupational Experience Programs in the Radioactive Field’ so that students can seek their future careers and jobs. The agency is scheduled to provide various programs to offer a venue to understand the radioactive industry, radioactive waste agencies, careers and the future of radioactive industry.
The Educational Donation Center of HGU was designated as the ‘hub center for Gyeongsang Province in educational donations’ for consecutive two years by the Ministry of Education and the Korean Council for University Education. The center has been promoting proactive activities by constantly developing educational donations in Gyeongsang Province. The goal is to create the educational donation culture by developing customized programs and matching profitable beneficiaries to each program.
