On April 14, 2016, Nurturing Global Creative and Innovate Talents based on ICT of Handong Global University hosted a briefing session on ‘Achievements of the Internationalization Project of the Foundation for Internalization.’
The Head of the Foundation, Jinwon Ahn, introduced field trips abroad including ‘on-site field centered collaborative learning’.
In addition, Professor Minho Ma, from the School of International Studies, Language and Literature delivered a lecture on the necessity of field trips abroad for university students. Two undergraduate students presented their experiences abroad in the U.S and global i-convergence projects in Germany.
At Duho Highschool, seventy students including four teachers attended. Followed by the presentations, students of Duho Highschool asked questions regarding international situations, the North Korean issues, and future careers. Two professors and undergraduate school students answered the questions.

Sujung Kim, a Duho Highschool teacher, said, “This was a great venue to stimulate students to realize the importance of globalization. I think HGU operates a really good abroad program.” According to Baeksoon Goh, a teacher at Duho Highschool, “It was really good. I hope that all the high schoolers who have interest in international organizations and globalization can enjoy this opportunity.”
The Foundation for Internalization of HGU was selected for the CK projects hosted by the Ministry of Education in July 2014. This has nurtured global talents who will take the lead in creative innovation utilizing ICT with the participation of the School of Management and Economics, the School of International Studies, Language and Literature, the School of Spatial Environment System Engineering, and the Graduate School of International Development Cooperation.

The Foundation has been promoting various international education programs including: learning-based projects, on-site experiences, visiting global enterprises, experiences abroad, research on international organizations and regional research. All of these programs aim to train students to recognize on-site problems and develop countermeasures by working in teams of students from various majors.
