The exhibition booth, ‘A Walk in Paris' gave a view of the street of Paris
In commemorating the Year of Korea-France Mutual Exchange in 2015~2016, a small France village was established in one part of HGU.
The event, 'A Gourmet Guide through France' was held from March 23 to 34 hosted by the Office of International Affairs, HGU, and led by foreign students.
You could feel and smell France within HGU from the exhibition hall displayed in the first floor of the Incubation Center. It was a reminder of the famous light festival, “Festival of Lights-Lyon.” People looked around the streets of Paris through 'A Walk in Paris'. To intensify the experience movies of France were provided.
In other booths, 'Pancakes from France' made delicious crepes to enjoy. The 'Small Eiffel Tower' was created by architects. A 'Jukebox of Monet' expressed France’s inspiration through art using French music. 'My France in my Head' showed off common sense topics and information related to France.
Besides these booths, special lectures were provided by Mr. Yann MOREAU, the Head of University Educational Cooperation for the Embassy of France, 'the Education of France.' One student, Songjeong Kim, shared her experiences in 'To talk one year in Paris'.

Mr.Yann MOREAU, the Head of University Educational Cooperation, Embassy of France delivered a special lecture entitled the 'Education of France'.
In the lecture, Mr. Yann MOREAU introduced the characteristics, development areas, educational system, and life environment of France. He said, "I am touring nationwide to meet 40,000 university students and high schoolers by Celebrating the Day of France in commemoration of the 130 anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and France. This is a valuable opportunity so I hope that we can further enhance our bilateral relationships between the two countries by visiting and experiencing these kinds of venues."
The Day of France aimed to introduce France to HGU. The event was planned and prepared by the students of the International Student Union of HGU.
The President of the International Student Union, Jihee Kim, mentioned, "During the two weeks of preparation, we really struggled to prepare. However, I appreciate the many students who enjoyed the event. I found many students had great interest in France."
According to Joeun Ha, who joined in this event, "I focused on the culture and educational methods of France after my visit to Europe. This event utilized space well and expressed France in a meaningful way. The explanations regarding works and movies made by the French were very impressive."
