The creative musical 'Love Trilogy: Youth' sings about young love that connects the past and the present. Performances in Seoul began on March 11, 2016, at JH Art Hall.

'Love Trilogy: Youth', was performed for the first time in Pohang in 2011. It is the first work of 'Blue Spring' which was organized by the students of HGU. The students wrote the play with a belief in creating clean content. The students put their tireless efforts into the planning, production, and distribution of the play.

One particular aspect of this Seoul performance is that the play was fully funded independently. Wadiz, a cloud funding portal service company, was used to gather funds. They achieved their target and beyond when they received 135% of the needed funds. 

In 2012, long term performances were attempted for the first time in Pohang. For one month, the team performed at a small concert hall. People highly praised the play and it grew in popularity. The audience felt the play was excellent even though it was written and performed by students. The total seat share was 95% and the paid audience share was 80%. Until to last year, they constantly met their audience share.

This year, they started performances in Daehakro, Seoul. From February 26th to March 6th, the play was also performed at a small theater in Pohang.

'Love Trilogy: Youth' consists of three chapters of a love story including: the confession of love, the farewell, and the reunion. The story deals with three couple's stories from 1990 to the present in an omnibus form.

Act 1 The 'Confession' presents the love story that began in the 1990s between Dukho, a high schooler whose passion is reading comic books and Haemin, who enjoys hanging around with others.

Act 2 the 'Farewell' is a love story from the 2000s between Hotae, a future actor and Dajung. They say good bye to each other since they have a misunderstanding because Hotae is busy preparing an audition.

Act 3 the 'Reunion' illustrates a love story from the 2010s between Taeil and Jiwon. They met accidently in the street but they hesitated to approach each other because of their fear of farewells.

The play shows the miserable and tedious ways of youth who fall in love using warm and sensible lyrics.

'Love Trilogy: Youth' was performed for the first time in Seoul under the director Changyang Shim. He is a graduate of the School of Communication Arts, HGU and received a special prize at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. He wrote the script for 'Love Trilogy: Youth'. All the songs are the works of Isaac Hong, who is an excellent artist for the television program ‘I can see your voice, season 2.’

Isaac Hong re-entered the Music Education Department at Berkley College of Music after dropping out of the School of Communication Arts & Science, at Handong Global University. In 2013, he received a prize at the Yoo Jae Ha Music Competition which recognized his talents as singer and a song writer. Last year, he released his album, ‘Even Though Time Goes’ and received rave reviews from his fans. His fans have great interest in the 'Love Trilogy: Youth' musical because they can enjoy more of Isaac’s music.

Furthermore, this performance is popular because the initial members of ‘Blue Spring’ have gathered and prepared this work.

The play, 'Love Trilogy: Youth', is expected to gain the hearts of all the generations. The middle aged viewers are nostalgic and enjoy remembering the good old days. The play illustrates the pure but clumsy moments of the three couples’ love and friendship from 1990 to today. The musical’s music has gained favorable comments because it is diversified in its genre. New instruments were added through the musical arrangements. The movie that was created by the Director was inserted. Therefore, it was enjoyed by men and women of all ages because it provided many attractions.
