On February 26, 2016, Handong Global University and John Brown University signed an agreement for academic exchange to carry out joint research and to exchange students and professors. The participants included staff from both universities in the ceremony held at John Brown University. Both universities mutually agreed to promote the exchange of human resources. This will include professors and students. A joint academic program will also be initiated.
In addition, HGU will seek opportunities for students to use the free semester system or to participate in internships at companies located in the Acanso area. The locations will include Walmart headquarters in cooperation with John Brown University.
John Brown University is located in Acanso. It was established in 1919 as a Christian University with 2, 800 enrolled students. The school has been recognized as the best university in the southern area, according to the U.S. News & World Report. The school provides more than fifty major courses such as: business administration, graphic design, and engineering.
