Educational Donation Center of HGU Hosted Consultative Meeting

Last February 15, 2016, Consultative Meeting was held for discussing the promotion of educational donation with related staff of educational donation field.

Pohang Office of Education, School Impact, and Educational Donation Center of HGU signed an agreement on educational donation in order to revitalize educational donation in Gyeongsang Province by working together.

This meeting was hosted to provide an in-depth discussion on implementing ‘To Catch Project’ of School Impact. In this meeting, various consultations were provided such as educational contents in each time, mentoring sector, place and venue of educational program, presentation on mid and final achievement, future activity plans, and measures to select senior mentor.

‘To Catch Project’ is career mentoring program for local senior mentor and junior mentor. This is career educational program to provide practical support to high school students who need active career search through experiences in practical ways.

Educational Donation Center of HGU develops specified educational donation resources and new career path educational program and is planning to provide various benefits to the youth in dead zone in educational donation by supporting free semester system which will be implanted from this year.

Educational Donation Center of HGU was selected as regional hub of educational center hosted by the Ministry of Education and Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity in last June for consecutive two years. The center has been constantly developing educational donation organizations and groups constantly in order to create educational donation culture and matching proper beneficiaries that satisfy the program.

‘School Impact’ is educational organization under the slogan of ‘Rock the school, Shock the world’ by nurturing future talents in order to put proper identity and dream in public education, career academy and dream search festival are proceeding.
