Inauguration Ceremony for the Foundation for LINC (Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation)

On November 10, the Foundation for LINC of HGU had an inauguration ceremony at All Nations Hall, HGU.
The LINC project is hosted by the Ministry of Education and aims to:
▲transform university curriculum to meet the demands from industry, resolve employment mis-matches and contribute to regional economic development through industry-university cooperation
▲nurture human resources that have creativity and rise to meet challenges and focus on the          school's competency for developing innovative technology,
▲develop and disseminate a leading university model to meet the characteristics of the regional   environment and support university and regional enterprises' compensativeness.
 
HGU was designated as the leading university in the Daegu Gyungbuk Gangwon area last May. Since last June, workshops with local enterprises, and agreements between affiliated companies were promoted.

The mayor of Pohang, Gwangduk Lee; Congressman Byungseok Lee; Congressman Myungjae Park; participated by joining various activities.

The Head of the Foundation said, "Through this project, HGU will try to contribute to Pohang city with detailed plans and specified approaches. I sincerely hope that we can deepen our relationship with the citizens of Pohang." He also expressed his expectation for mutual development between the LINC project and Pohang city.
