HGU Held the Foundation Ceremony for the ‘Handong Unified Korea Center’

On November 12, 2015, Handong Global University had the foundation ceremony for nurturing human resources in the future unified era. The Handong Unified Korea Center will implement research and best educational methods after unification and recovery of homogeneity.
The Center will:
▲provide education to integrate North Koreans into South Korean society during university life and after graduation,                  
▲provide education for nurturing future leaders after unification,
▲develop converged curriculum after unification,
▲provide education and social adaptation programs for North Korean defectors and North Korean students after unification
▲ establish a network with domestic and foreign organizations, conduct research, survey, and publish reports, as well as host seminars and workshops.
 
The Head of the Center, Eunju Shin said, “Unification is our calling in this era and this is not limited to Korea but this is a multi-global issue going beyond Northeast Asia. With this ceremony, we will do our best to research and implement unification human resource education by collaborating with domestic and international institutions for a unified Korea.”
